Tea2You began with a passion for quality and authenticity. Ratan, our founder, was born in Kolkata, West Bengal, India—once the capital of the British Raj and a region deeply rooted in tea culture. After moving to the UK, he was surprised by the lack of quality loose-leaf tea available in the market. Determined to change that, he started his tea journey at a small market stall in Manchester in 2008–09.

Years of dedication, learning, and hard work eventually established Tea2You as a trusted name for premium loose-leaf teas across the UK. A pivotal moment came when a customer recommended Borough Market—a place that became the true home of Tea2You. What began as a humble stall evolved into a thriving tea shop, now offering over 80 varieties of tea to suit every taste, from classic black and green teas to more unique and rare blends.

As the business grew, so did our vision. Recognizing the rising global demand for high-quality matcha, we launched Matcha2You—a dedicated B2B extension of Tea2You, focused exclusively on sourcing and supplying premium ceremonial grade matcha in bulk.
